I have gotten several different reviews, and thought maybe I should go online and get the thoguhts from actual users and dealers. I have been looking at the Leupold VX3 4.5-14X 50 (57140) Long range with the B&C reticle vs. The Zeiss conquest 4.5-14x 50 or 4.5-14x44. Have roughly $800.00 to spend on a scope and would like some input. Any thoughts would be helpful, even if a different scope needs to be thrown in the mix. thanks. This would be for a 300 win mag for white tail deer on shots from 200yds. +

Of the three listed I would go with the 4.5-14x44 Conquest.  I do not like large objectives.  You could also look at Kahles and some Swarovski on the Sample list that will be within $800.00.

Thank you, I just looked at the sample list and there were some swarovski that were in the $800.00 range that are normally $1,000.00+ new. They look like they have minimal wear. I may drive down this weekend in have a look. I appreciate the advice.

I'm a big fan of the Conquest.

When you compare the specs on the Conquest versus the VM/V, the Conquest gives up very little.

The VM/V does have a slight edge on field of view.

I did have a Conquest fail however, and it was promptly replaced by Zeiss, no questions asked.

I hate to say it on this forum, but you can find Zeiss Conquest for significantly cheaper prices on ebay.  Sorry SWFA, but I got mine (3-10x44 black matte for $380.00 brand new w/USA warranty there).

Chris,

I just purchased a conquest from an ebay store, just for future reference does the guarentee include ebay listings by authorized dealers?

If 4-12x50 might be to your liking, I have a Swarovski A-Line that I really like. Objective may be a little large bit I have it mounted in medium rings. It's pretty light, too.

Yes, if they are an authorized Zeiss dealer and it was bought by BUY IT NOW, had a reserve or from their eBay store (as mentioned).

Thanks Chris.  I believe they met all of your criteria.   However I'm still waiting on delivery.  I could have ordered from swfa received it flown around the world, decided I didn't like the scope shipped it back to swfa, recieved a new, etc.  In the time its taking to get mine from Tenn. to GA.

Thanks
