Help me out Guys, Please give me any pro's and cons on two scopes that I plan on putting onto a Thompson Center 22, Cal. R 55, Leupold VXII Rimfire EFR 3x9-33 or a sightron SII - Big Sky AO 3X9-36, I will be shooting target and hunting small game.
I would appreciate any helpful information you can give me about these 2 scopes.

The Leupold EFR has a stellar reputation in the air gun world and is very well liked by rimfire shooters. I have a different model, 3.5-10x50 EFR, but the glass is very similar. The Leupold is a top pick for a .22.
I don't know anything about the Sightron other than what some of our regulars have to say. The general consensus is that they are very good also.
With the coatings and glass that Sightron is supposedly using, the 36mm objective should be a bit brighter in low light than the Leupold.

the r-55 is a accurate semi auto right out of the box .it is not that ammo picky but seems to like the better ammo best and it does have a break in time of about 500 rounds . t/c has good customer service .the wide forarm stock is to wide to be comfortable, but it is a tack driver for sure .

pc can,
Is yours the "Classic", "Benchmark" or the "Sporter"?  Also, what do you mean by "a break in time of about 500 rounds"?
Thanks again,
Sam

thanks for your reply! there are not a lot of scopes that have an AO that will go down to 10 yards ,so that is why I like leupold and sightron .if anyone knows of a good scope that will ,let me know .I think there are better scopes to be had like the kahles C L but there A O is 30 yards or so . my thoughts have changed to leupold 4-12x40 or a 4.5-14 x40 or the sightron 3-12x42 bigsky, that may be more fitting for a target rifle .

There are lots of scopes with AO or side focus that will go down to 10yds including some good ones costing less. The two that you're looking at are the Cadillacs.

SAM   it is a benchmark . even if this is one of the finest rimfires on the market , it is made so tight that it did FTE a few times within the first 500 rounds . I have since fired thousands of rounds with ZERO malfunctions of any type .      pc can
