For my Rem M700P in 308...will be shooting paper from 100 to 500 yrds mostly but deer hunting some

Really a trade-off between customer service and good glass.  Leupold has the former, Nikon has the latter (of the two).

Nikon CS sucks!!!!! Better values abound...Leupolds are better built, but again I believe you can get better glass for the money.Try Elite 4200, Sightron Big Sky,  or Zeiss Conquest series
