I am considering buying a Luepold Mountaineer scope.  Buying a used scope can be a risky business no matter how much assurance one gets from the seller.  I have a need for this scope for an old Stith mount for my Savage 99.  My question is does Luepold honor a lifetime warranty on this scope or was it even offered.

I sent in a 4x scope built in 1972, something literally older than I am, which I was definitely not the first owner of, for a stuck erector tube.  They fixed it for free, no questions asked.  I only had to pay shipping one way too, if I remember correctly.
