I have a pair of 6x30 Yosemites, but could see myself with a larger, more powerful pair of binocs for more distant viewing.  How do the Mesa and Rogue full size porros compare to the Yosemite?  I'd be most interested in the 10x.

I'm asking about these because I'd like to stick with porros if I can b/c they feel better in my hand and I greatly prefer the 3D effect.  That said, how much better is the image quality of the Zen-ray ZRS (8x42 or 10x42) than either of these?

It is a bit hard to directly compare the images.  For one thing the ZR roof is about 2* wider in FOV which is a not insignificant difference.  While I am not overly prone to wide FOV, this is a large enough difference that you will easily notice it.  As far as I am concerend the ZR image is the better of the two.

I think the Mesa is a better built binocular than the Rogue and has a bit sharper optics.  I saw for myself the eyecups of two brand new Rogue binoculars fall of the binocular.  This was at a Leupold booth at a Sportsman's Show in the Northwest.  The Rogue seems to me to more closely resemble a larger scale Yosemite.  To be honest, I've looked a other Rogue binoiculars lately and the eyecups seem a lot better now than then.

I have three different Pentax PCF WP binoculars and would recommend the Pentax to any Porro lover.

I bought a pair of the Mesa 8X42s when they were brand new.  I always thought they were pretty decent.  I sold them to a coworker, and he loves them.  They had tremendous depth of field.
