Thinking about using this rings to keep the weight down on my new AR that is being built. I have the steel super high on my RRA coyote and they work great so why  not use the lighter rings that are supposed to be about as strong. Your thoughts on this and open to other suggestions.

I don't think you can beat this set of rings for an AR.  They are strong, the perfect height and they return to zero everytime.  I take mine off all the time and it is always right on when I go shoot it again.  They are expensive but I think they are definitely worth it.

The thing I never liked about the ARMS rings is the complexity of them, for instance the two-piece construction between the lower half of the ring and the "riser" below it, apparently pinned together? Why wouldn't that be all one piece?
Not knocking them; they have a very good reputation, but that's what sent me to Badgers Ultra- Highs on my AR. I'm sure they are slower to remove than ARMS,(and a lot more expensive), but I seldom remove mine.  YMMV of course...
