I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

And Doc, while SWFA sponsors this site, employees are not always present. Most answers on this site come from people that have expierence with the question that you are asking. Have a little patience someone will be along with an answer.
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Your sarcasm really helps sales.

I had someone tell me that 1" Leupold rings only fit Leupold 1" scopes - that there was allegedly as difference in what their inch was as compared to the norm (1mm diff.). As I found out from another site they were incorrect.

At least the other site answered the same question without giving the person asking the question (1) no answer or (2) an answer full of sarcasm. As far as SWFA not being present - it has been days since I have asked the question - no answer, no sale. It is rather unfortunate as I have purchase my last two scopes from them.
Thanks,
Doc

No sarcasm was  intended sir. And I do not work for SWFA, I am a metal stud framer/ iron worker, who happens to enjoy shooting and related activities. But leopold 1" rings will fit any 1" scope tube. They are both 1"(this time sarcasm was implied)

Please look at 357 mag for the sarcasm. Howdy

1 day 2 hours and 17 minutes in between post

If you wanted an immediate answer why didn't you just give SWFA a call to find your answer out?

The talk forum is what I consider a useful tool but a fairly slow tool for finding out specific information. If a timely response is SO important to you then I would of used the fastest channel of getting an accurate and immediate response..... calling SWFA.

Just because you didn't get a response fast enough you completely despise SWFA and consider it unfortunate that you purchased from them in the past? Sounds pretty stupid frankly.

What is this other site you are referring to? You have a link to the other forum you posed this question?

You also posted a "ring" question in the "rifle scope" forum.

Posting in the wrong forum probably was another factor contributing to the delay in responses

357MAG,

As if it is any of your business:

First, I did call SWFA and advised them the question. This was my first step as I desired mount the scope by next week… and desired an immediate order over the phone.

Second, they said they would be back to me within a few hours (1-2), as the representative had never heard of this peculiarity with Leupold scopes and rings, but they desired to be sure (i.e. ultra rings in one brand are not always = the same height in another brand, so 1” may not be 1”) before he answered me.

Third, until they get back with me the representative told me to post it in the forum (w/the title as given) as someone there may already know the answer. But instead of a REAL answer, apparently, all you knew was how to be sarcastic.

Fourth, SWFA never called me back and never posted in the forum. Apparently, they do not know the answer, or ....

Fifth, I would rather purchase from people that take the time to know the answers, respond to questions, and are not sarcastic.

357MAG the majority people posting here are looking for REAL information. They are looking for REAL answers. If you don't know - no one is forcing you to answer. If you do know and have the clout behind you to back it up there is no need to be sarcastic.

Howdy
Thanks,
Doc
