I'm looking for a scope for a .22 something in the 1-4 range.  The Leupold AR can be found for around 215.00.  Is there anything better for the money?

I'm looking at scopes more geared towards hunting.  Tree rats in early mourning and late evening.

I've purchased 3 Optisan Mamba scopes now and for the money I don't think you can beat them.  A TRUE 1-4x scope, Burris based mount (they call it an E.A.R. mount) all for $149.  It has a lighted red or green reticle and I don't think you can beat it for what I paid.
