I have had a Leu Mk4 10x M3 and I currently have Mk4 8.5-25x50 M1 and Mk4 3.5-10x40 FFP. So based on that I would say STOP do not buy a fixed power scope that cost that much money buy a variable power and if you are going to shoot 600 yds in a target / varmit you will probably be wanting a 6.5-20x50 or an 8.5-25x50. At that point you need to also look very strongly at Zeiss Diavari , IOR, U.S. Optics and Nightforce and S&B and make an educated decision which may have to factor in what is actually available as these scopes can be in high demand and not always available. If you prefer a Leupold I would suggest the 6.5-20x50 Front Focal Plane scope that will be comming out in the next few months. I do think the Nightforce 5.5-22x56 would be a very good choice and word has it that they will make a FFP model but also go up 15 to 20 percent this year so you might do well to jump on one now. The US Optics is essentially a custom made scope of the highest quality available - bar none. The S&B and the Zeiss are also top quality glass but the Zeiss has a very cool new reticle Z1000. system
