I'm about to make the buy of a pair of leica  Geovid HD BRF 15X56, will I've be taking advantage of the 15 power?, or should I stick with a 10 power wish is 600 less, out hear we have to glass very far Im using a brunton 10X42 right now, but its time to invest in the better ones, I've had the opportunity to use a pair of liecas 10X42 BRF, and a pair of ziess 10X45 with rf, both worked great but for my eyes the range finder numbers were a hole lot visible on the liecas, with the ziess I had to set to a dark back ground in a sunny day to be able to see the numbers. so thats way I'm looking in to Leicas, since Im 4 hours away from any cabelas of bass pro shops i will buy them of the internet so I cant check them out till I buy them, so any help would be great

15x is not very usable unless you can use this on a tripod.  If this is going to be for handheld use, stick with lower magnifiction.

Thank you for the impute, now Master jadie, what is your pick between the ziess 10X45 and the Liecas 10X42, for some reason the r.f. in the ziess left me wondering about them, mind you I only used them for about 15min without reading any instructions, two main things in the r.f. of the ziess:
1. Could not find and aiming point, for the r.f.
2. The lack of contrast on the numbers against the back ground.
Was I doing something wrong, or is these how ziess works?, what's your recommendation!
Thanks.

Thanks.

I slightly prefer Zeiss Victory RF.  As far as seeing the numbers goes, I do not recall it being very different from the Leica, but I never had a change to see them side by side.  It is possible that the rangefinder display was out of focus for your eye (there is a focusing adjustment on the right barrel just for that purpose).

Ultimately, both Leica and Zeiss are very good, but Zeiss agrees with my eyes a little better.

If you're Coues deer hunting in AZ the 15x Leica with the rangefinder is fantastic!  Yes, a tripod is necessary, but you sure will find animals!  NV_Hunter
