I've been reading on this site and others while I tried to determine which high end binocular to get and have finally decided on the Leica Ultravid HD 10x42. This is mainly because I have a CRF 900 range finder and love it. Anyway on to my question. The advertised price is $2295 everywhere of course and the places I've asked said they couldn't discount off of that. Is that what I can expect to find everywhere or have you guys found that some places will discount these a bit?

I've looked at samplelist.com and other demo lists and rarely see HD's listed and when I do the price difference is only a few percent. I guess I expect a demo to be discounted more along the lines of 20-30% if it's in almost new condition, but maybe I'm being unrealisitic.

Thanks in advance,

Ben

Yeah I was planning on calling SWFA. I've been looking at local dealers so that I could try them out, but have been keeping an eye on the sample list for any deals. They have a 8x42 HD on there now which I would consider, but again I'm not sure the price difference is enough to pull me away from brand new.

We are not allowed to post prices of the competition, the best thing to do is a daily google search, for price reductions.

I would think for the Sample List pirice the 8x42's would be a great choice. In between the 7x42 and 10x42 it probably has the best of both worlds.
