I have made up my mind to go with one of these two brands of binoculars I am considering a couple of different models from both of them 8x56 slc or 10x42 el from Swarovski and trinovid or ultravid in 10x50's from Leica if brightness was your sole consideration which one would you pick.

If you want the binocular that would be the brightest out of your choices, you would have to narrow it down to either the Swarovski SLC 8X56 or the Leica Ultravid. The Swarovski SLC 8X56 has the bigger exit pupilore avaliable light to your eye, but the Leica Ultravid are the latest and probably greatest in new binocular technology out of Germany. They have the new prism coatings- High Lux and they use titanium hinges and magnesium housing. I would give the edge to the Leica Ultravid 10X50.
