....the non-illuminated reticle models ? What the heck is up with that move SWFA ? Maybe some closeout pricing is going to be their swan song...?

Kind of bummed.  I like their #1 reticle.  Found one on the web and ordered it last week.  Should arrive tomorrow.

If anyone can clue me into what Leica is thinking with regards to their sport optics, please do so.

I spoke to one of their CS reps, as well as a couple dealers, and the impression I got was that they were dropping the ER line because of the higher popularity and demand of the illuminated ERi models.   The 2.5-10x42 was available on both lines, so that mag range will still be offered.  The 3.5-14x42 is gone, but it sounds like the illuminated 3-12x50 was significantly more popular.  The 3.5-14x42 was one of the scopes I was contemplating, so the price drop associated with the discontinuation of that line was enough to get me to pull the trigger.

My Leica 2.5-10 w/ #1 reticle and ASV turret arrived yesterday.  For the price of these, where you can find them, you aren't going to find a better deal...
