For those who have them or have compared the Leica Ultravid HD and New Swarovski EL Sworvision in a 10x, which appears to have the better overall glass quality as it pertains to image, depth, resolution? I realize you cant go wrong either way, but I don't have the ability to look throught Leicas locally and have found a demo pair of Leica HD's for 1600.00 which could save me about 5-600 over the swarovksi

I would buy a pair of Swarovski SLC's and save yourself some money. I think the SLCs are more rugged then the ELs and both have the same glass in them. I personally own a pair of SLCs and I have never once wished I hadn't of bought them and spent the money. Good luck.

The Ultravid HDs are great. $1600 is not a bad price, but not crazy low either. The Swarovision is going to have a great edge, and super-flat field. Too flat, for me.
I agree the SLC HD is the better overall binocular compared to the Swarovision, IMO. |

You are splitting hairs here. You will not be able to tell much of a difference between any of them. However if I was going to be forced to pick one I would say if you want the range finding versions I like Swarovski better and if it is just straight up binoculars I would say Leica has a VERY slight edge.
