Anyone ever use the Leica CDD reticle?  It is an odd one with a dot, hash and another dot.

I've found the subtension info but not entirely sure what purpose is serves with the combination fo th dots and hash.

I think the CDD is dots on the broken vertical axis, no hashes.

I had this (dots, no hashes) and it was very thin. Very!  I like the multiple aiming points, but prefer the Christmas tree design better.  The singular application where I like this setup is a rifle that needs sub- and super-sonic zero without running or resetting turrets.

Broken vertical axis is probably a better description.  Some pictures I've seen don't do a good job of even reflecting the dots, which speaks to your thin comment.  Here is a picture of what I saw

I have a model 50024 Leica CDD, 2.5-10x42 ED scope.  The reticle is very fine in this scope but surprisingly shows up very well in most normal uses for a daytime scope and is capable until 1/2 hour after dusk, easily.  I have not shot my Leica scope on the range yet because of illness and can not be of much help with the dots and dashes but only from reading the Leica literature, it all makes good sense so I do not expect any problems in actual use.
