Which of these two bins would be the best choice for hunting. I have been looking at the Kahles, but have found a pretty good deal on a used set of Leica Trinovid 8x50 BN. I am concerned about the weight of the leicas. If you have used them what our your thoughts regarding the weight? If anyone has compared both bins mentioned which is the better choice?
Thanks for any imput.

The 50mm Leica's are going to be real heavy, plus their warranty is
only good for the original owner. Granted, the chances are pretty slim
you'd never need the warranty, but I still think it should factor into
the equasion. The only way I'd buy the used 50mm Leica's is if you
could get them for about half of MSRP.
I don't think there's any advantage of a 50mm objective in 8x, and while there might be in 10x, I wouldn't want to pack the weight in either case.....a Leica 8x42 BN is plenty heavy. |

I was kind of thinking the same thing on the weight issue. The trinovids are about the same price as the Kahles, and if the optics were substantially superior I was going to consider it, but as stated keep coming back to the weight issue. Thanks for your responce.
