Has any one had any experience or recommendations with the laser rangefinding scopes?

I was looking at the ones Burris makes, the 4x-12-42mm.

It appears it would be real handy but part of me knows the technology will only inprove and cost will come down, like everything else!  Wanting to invest in a new scope I was thinking about spending $600-700, but wondering if I spend that much should I just "bite the bullet" (no pun intended) and do the extra cost and go with the Burris rangefinding scope?  I imagine their optice are similiar to the signature with the rangfinder?

Any suggestions?...thanks-

I have just tried it, and same for the Zeiss version.

For specific purposes it can surely be usefull, but as it's fairly big and heavy i would definitely prefer a handheld rangefinder.

In my opionon for my purposes there is to many drawbacks with the burris laserscope.

Zeiss is more appealing, but not enogh to justifi the price for me.

Big, heavy, and throws the balance off of the rifle.  Also, what will you do when the electronics fail?  They warranty the glass, but no one is going to give a significant warranty to the electronics.
