I am a complete tyro and came across this scope on a gun forum.  What do you folks think?  How does it compare to the Stokes Sandpiper?  What other scopes in the $350 range would you recommend?

Thanks.

I don't know much about the Konus.  But if I have your budget, I'll most likely go with the Busnell Excursion.

Agreed.

Or perhaps the:
  • Leupold Golden Ring compacts
  • Minox 50W
  • Bushnell Elite (60mm)
  • Vortex Nomad
  • Bushnell Discoverer

Kind of depends a little bit on what you want the scope to do for you.  For example; are you going to:

  • carry it long distances in a back pack?
  • use it for digiscoping?  (If so, do you use a point-and-shoot or a DSLR camera?)
  • use it for astronomy?
  • use it in inclement weather?
  • share it with lots of other people?

What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
