I just found them, what is your opinion on the colors, I was leaning towards the green/orange combo.

I read somewhere that according to Trijicon green lamps have a longer life.

Sam,

I read that too, I think the green is 12 years and the orange is 5.  Probably will go with the all green, it is what I am use to, just thought the contrasting colors would make sight aquisition faster, but with plenty of practice that should not be a problem.

Thanks Sam, since I can't physically look at the sights on a gun, peoples experiences and recommendations are very helpful.

Try to get a look at them yourself if at all possible because some guys  I compete with prefer yellow rears but I like the green so it ends up a matter of personal preference.

Put the trijicon on.  Green is what I have on my Springfield.  Love them.  Might also consider the Crimson Trace grips for it as well.

This is from FAQ on the Trijicon website
» 02. Do you offer different colored night sights?
Yes, Trijicon offers the choice of yellow or orange lamps in the rear sight only. We always keep the front sight green because it is the brightest and longest lasting of the colored tritium. It is also the color with the most contrast from muzzle flash. Green and yellow sights are warranted for 12 years. The orange lamp only carries a 5 year warranty.

I am going to try and find a shop around here that has the Trijicons so I can look at the different set-ups, but it may be difficult.  I am in no hurry, I am not allowed to touch until Christmas.
