i have a kimber of oregon 82 with what i believe is a 3/8 rounded groove reciever. i need a mount for a pentax 4.5x14x42 scope. which one will work

These are good ones, but there are a lot of others, too.
The Burris Signature System, with the polymer inserts is even better, but the link to the Signature .22 ringmounts in Medium height on the SWFA store page displays a photo of something else. (I just now notified Chris Farris of the error via P.M.) The High model is as shown, but you probably want Mediums. I don't know if they make a Low model in that style, and such may be too low for your needs anyway.
Edited to note: I just read the description of the High models, in which it says that your Kimber 82 is among several fine rifles that has something other than a 3/8 dovetail. Looks like you have some more frustrating research ahead of you.
Where the hell is SAAMI on this isue? ( Sporting Arms And Ammunition Manufacturers Institute.) You know , the organization that is SUPPOSED to standardize some of this crap?
You probably have either an 11 or 13 mm. dovetail on your Kimber. The 3/8 might work regardless; I don't remember offhand... Edited by RONK - January/12/2008 at 10:55 |
