Does anyone have any experience with the Kahles CL 2x7x36? How is it for low light hunting? Is it overkill for a deer and turkey shotgun?

Kahles CL lenses are made for superior low light shooting and work very well

for this much desired feature in scopes. Any Kahles that is AMV coated will be

a very nice addition to anybodys firearm arsenal IMO and not a overkill. There is

the bad part with that pacticular model, you will not be able to mount it super low

on most rifles due to a large occular, in most cases, standard hight rings in the

medium range will be needed. This is not a problem for the type of performance

this scope delivers IMO. You do not like the 3-9x42?

I haven't been keeping up lately.  Could someone explain what the KX series is.  What is the difference between it and the CL?

Thats the only difference that I could tell as well.  It seems kind of silly to have an entire new line of scopes with only 1 minor difference.  Surely there has to be more than that.

The KX is the budget minded replacement to the discountinued AH line. Better glass than the AH and more reticles selection than the CL .

I was under the impression that the CL replaced the AH with better glass since they are both 1" and were offer in the same basic scopes.  If the KX is budget minded what does it not have that the CL has.  More appropriate why would I buy a CL if the KX is just as good for less money.  You understand my confusion.  Swaro A-line is a much different scope than PH.  Zeiss VM/V is much different than Conquest.  VX-III is significantly different than VX-II.  Is KX the same scope as a CL minus one thing (side focus).  If thats the case, why call it a separate line.

Funny, I guess....  checkout the intro  ( Bolded by kahles)

It’s a radiant mountain summer. Morning dew, the scent of gentian and of herbs. Fog is still lying in the valley. Coming from the shady side, we are now prowling across the rocky slopes. We are hunting the brown summer chamois. The guide checks the hollow through his binoculars. I check my gun and optics for the hundredth time in joyous anticipation — totally unlike the old bloodhound. He knows the routine — the chamois, the guest …

smell the gentian and herbs  .......   joyous anticipation    LOL

Interesting, I don't see a model KX with a 52mm front objective???  That's the CL scope I have and I absolutely love it!
