I see that somebody out there got smart and bought that Kahles KX 3.5-10X50 Plex off of the Sample List.  Congrats to the winner.  Hope it was a regular from the OT, or at least an observer.  Kudos to Chris for the sale! Who ever it,  is welcome to the Klub.  I'll bet that you are not disappointed.  Let us know if you are out there.

I also was looking at that scope but wasn't sure about the warranty factor on a used Kahles scope or any Kahles scope sold in USA.  They have one of the best scopes going but since the split with Swarovski I just don't know if they can be depended on to stand by their finished product.  Anyone know about this?.......Doug

I think that we are waiting on Koshkin on that question, Doug.  What say you, ILya?
At this point, I am not going to worry just too much about that.  How many people have been forced to send their Kahles in for repairs?  The price benefits outweighted those concerns, in my mind.  Maybe not others.  Decisions,  decisions.  That's why we should have a good backup scope.

Good reading there Mike but I am not sure that I can come to a conclusion about Kahles customer service except that all scopes to be repaired are now sent to Austria.  I believe that the published warranty period for used Kahles scopes is 2 years but if it takes 2 years to get it back from them that is not much consolation.

I do see Mojo's point of view however.  That scope at that price might be worth a small gamble.  Knowing that it is being sold by a reputable dealer would calm some of my fears I think.........Doug

The jury is still out on the customer service.  Koshkin might convict them!  I cannot imagine how a company would want to irritate the entire American marketplace for failure to provide customer service.  But, it might take them awhile to get their act together as far as a repair center in the United States.

As far as the cost goes, take a look at the American dollar.  Do you think it is now costing more or less American dollars to purchase something made in Austria?  Or most other places, for that matter.  These scopes were dumped on the marketplace by dealers that were no longer going to be dealers, unless they went through Legacy Sports.  Get while the getting is good.  We are not talking about the bottom feeders on the T-Bone Scale.

It is a matter of recognizing a bargain when it is out there.  Go ahead and call me a dummy, but I purchased two of them. (Squeezer or Ed, here is your opening)

I put it on my Weatherby .240 Magnum lightweight mark V action. Equipped with the talley lightweight aluminum one piece rings. Excellent setup! I love it! Still not as much as my 6.5/284 with talley setup but close.

You are sneaky good for sure Chris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You knew what you had all along, you rascal.  The rest had their chances to get it, but dropped the ball.  Speaking of dropping, I only dropped it four or five ties while it was in my possession, and didn't see any visible cracks in the glass at all................JUST KIDDING!!!!  Sounds like you like your new rig.  I really love my 4a, and will be ordering one piece mounts from you shortly.

There are still a couple of American Hunters out there on the Sample list, same glass, same coatings, without the ergonomic power adjustment knob.
