I am in the market right now for a new scope for my 270. I have narrowed it down to the Kahles line. I am trying to stay in the 3-9 or 3.5-10 range. What is the difernce between the 3 models? Is one model worth the extra $$$ to get?

BTW this is my first post, but I am not new to this site at all. I LOVE reading about all the different topics and the great advice you scope gods give to everyone. Thanks, Austin

The AH was discontinued and replaced with the KX. Both were / are good. The CL is even better. If you have the cash go for the CL.

OK I know I just asked which one is best, but I just came across a perfect condition Kahles 3x9x42 AH TDS for $400. I bought it. What do you think? Did I just screw up?

Good deal!  And welcome to the forum.

I have a 3.5x10x50 Kahles AH with the TDS reticle on my 30-06.  The trajectory of my 200 gr Accubond at 2650 fps matches the reticle when zeroed at 100 yards.  I also have 2 Kahles CL's and they are better.

Now you have to figure out how your 270 loads are going to fit the TDS reticle.

What bullet and how fast are you going to push it?

Did you get a booklet to tell you how much the reticle marks will cover at 100 yards?

Kahles is one of those companies that offers great products at a fairly modest price.

The scope comes with all of the original paperwork.

I shoot 130gr Federal Ammo. I have not gotten the scope yet, but when I do I will figure it all out.
