Still asking about one of these scopes, 1-4 or 1.5-6, one manufacture vs. another, Kahles, IOR, Zeiss, Swaro, back to Kahles, illuminated, not illuminated?

What are you looking for that's got you bouncing around like this or maybe I misread some of your other posts? Just trying to help. Smile

If memory serves me right, tahqua has one of these Kahles scopes.  Ask him.

FWIW, I do not recall any distortion at low mag.

I have two of them, one 4A and the other illuminated. There is no edge distortion or pincushion/fisheye effect at 1.1X.
The 1.1-4x24 is excellent in low light at any power setting.

Our shooting hours are one half hour after sunset for big game in MI. I did not draw a bear permit this year so I haven't taken out my rifles, yet. My night time predator rig has a Leo 3.5-10x50 EFR. That scope can't touch any of the Kahles I have in low light.
The CSX has the C-Dot reticle. It is adjustable for brightness and can be dialed down so that it is usable in very low light. The switch memorizes the last setting so that when you turn it back on there are no surprises. Some illuminated models don't have this feature.
I can watch deer and predators on a daily basis from my yard. The C-Dot and 4A scopes both allow me to shoot well past legal shooting time. The Kahles scopes let me see branches and other obtsructions out past 200 yards in this light, too. That is the thing that impresses me the most with high end scopes like these. They have great contrast and resolution in all light levels.
The C-Dot is on a Ruger #1, 45-70. The 4A is on a .375 H&H. I will have the C-Dot with me for deer season this year and I will post my impressions, then.
