Looking to put a scope on a new predator .223. Was pretty much set on Zeiss with the Rapid Z reticle but am hearing a lot of good buzz on the Kahles scopes as well. Bass Pro Shops has the Kahles Helia and it comes with the 4A, plex, and 4d reticles. I kind of like the concept of the 4d as it appears to have some hold over crosshairs for longer distances. Does anyone have any experience with this reticle? Most of my shots will be under 300 yards but would like to be able to reach out there if Wyle E Coyote is being stubborn. Happy New YEar

If I remember correctly, the KX has the 4d recticle. Do yourself a favor and get a Kahles AH with the TDS recticle off the Samplelist.com. It's the same thing. I have purchased two of these scopes in 3-9x42 from SWFA on that list and just love them. You will save a lot of $$$ relative to Bass Pro.

Nothing except slight cosmetic differences, a couple of model differences, and different reticle options. The AH series had a 2-7X36 model and the KX doesn't, and the KX has a 4-12X50 model and the AH doesn't. There are no optical differences between the two, according to an email I received last year from their corporate headquarters in Vienna. The AH series was discontinued with the arrival of the CL series. Then, the KX line was introduced as a lower cost alternative to CL to fill the niche the AH once did and to compete with lower priced competitors.
