I bought a K98 Mauser surplus rifle and wan to put a scope on it without any drilling or tapping so I got an Accumount product. There's no info on what rings work with it. Is this base a Weaver style or a Picatinny rail ? I don't want to get the wrong rings. Thanks for any help.

If it's the same style as the Accumount base I recently put on my No.4 Mk.2 Enfield, it will work with either Weaver or Picatinny rings.
Mine is a very nice piece of equipment!
Do you have the one that is made in two pieces, usable with both conventional and scout scopes, depending upon how you configure it?  I may get one of them for my M48 Mauser.

Ronk: Yes I got the two piece Accumount. It's nicely made from aluminum and I like the option of being able to configure a scout rifle scope location. Probably go with the scope near the receiver. My only concern is the scope sitting high from the stock and shooting positiion. We'll see. Thank you for the info.

After I posted my answer, I temporarily swapped scopes from another rifle that had Badger Picatinny rings to be sure I wasn't mistaken about them working. Both they and the standard Weaver rings fit nicely.

The Enfield Accumount I have is steel.  I think they probably want to keep the weight down on the longer two-piece Mauser model, thus aluminum. Mine sits up too high also, but there's really no way around that. I will definitely put a lace-on cheekpiece on it, in fact the original sniper versions of that rifle had a wooden cheekpiece fitted to the stock to address that problem. I'd really like to hear how yours is working out for you when you get it put together; P.M. me when you do, if you happen to think of it. Thanks,

On a whim, I contacted John Zhu  (?, I think that is correct ) of Accumount and invited him to join in this discussion. He replied, thanking me for the "heads up", so I'm hoping he can find time to add to the knowledge base of his products on this site.
 Edited to add:
The Mauser base he makes is really interesting and unique, and I just ordered one from him a few minutes ago!
It looks like I'll be needing more scopes and rings from SWFA, now...
