I also bought some in 223 for my 700 but haven't had a chance to try them yet. My understanding is that I should get a couple of hundred extra fps with no noticeable increase in pressure or muzzle blast. I'll watch this thread before trying them since I really like this rifle.

Without knowing what your shooting them in, caliber, bolt gun, gas gun, barrel length nobody can tell you squat!  I do know that the 178 super-performance in .308 tend to run hot.  One batch was popping primers. That is well documented.  They didn't shoot any better than my own hand loaded so I'll stay with my hand loads.

Any pressure signs on the cases?

Ever have this issue with other ammo?

I used a couple of boxes of 223Rem Superformance ammo in my AR.  It was very accurate, but a few cases showed pierced primers.  However, I found no other obvious pressure signs.

i was shooting them out of my 30;06 browning bbr bolt action rifle... i have been shooting federal premium all my life without any problems of this kind, casing removes just as a easy as it went in....even gave the barrel a good cleaning to make sure there was no back pressure in the chamber and still...kinda weird and to bad because for a factory load i noticed a way flatter trajectory that the federals.....

not trying to scare you off of the rounds they are superior to most of the factory rounds that i have shot. try them down at the range and just keep in mind whats been said, this wouldn't be the first case of one gun just not liking a certain round....you WILL notice a way flatter shooting round though......

What was the temperature? I had problems with a .223  load that I have shot for years in several rifles. 2 weeks ago when out in 104 F heat the shells got very hot to the touch while sitting on the table in the sun. When fired they swelled and stuck in the chamber. The extractor pulled chunks off the rims without pulling the brass from the chamber. The primers were also showing intense flow around the firing pin. Shocked

Could your shells have gotten too hot ? High temps can have dangerous effects. Especially on hotter charged rounds.

could be,the bullets were sitting in a black truck at least 2 hours before i went to the range, so inside the truck cound make a differant to a very light magnum load like the hornady's instead of the regular loads like the federals, that could make a differance. it's worth a try to keep them cool and see what happens....their a great bullet so i hope it's something that i was doing wrong....

Yessir, we have some of that hot sun action going on right now. I had a similar experience w/some middlin' .45acp swc loads- left a mag sitting in the sun and fired about 3 before stopping to check the magazine to see if I'd loaded some the 'steamers' I'd brought with me, instead. Only found one of the far- flung cases, but it had a good little ridge around the firing pin hole.
Did learn my lesson, I hope.
