Mazal Tov!  SVD666

Welcome to the club, johnbravado and SVD666.

I got married a couple of years ago, and I have to say that I now spend about one quarter of the time I used to on my hobbies.  She drives me nuts occasionally.  My optics spending budget is WAAAAY down.  My house chores are WAAAAY up.  And when I do something stupid (which happens with alarming regularity):

But, to be honest with you gentlemen, it is all worth it.

ILya

Thank you all so very much. I know things are going to change but I feel they will be for the better and it will be well worth it. I got some very good tips for dealing with a wife and I am going to take it day by day. I use to have endless

freedom to do as I please but I am willing to comprimise(not my optics) now that we are both one.

Ounce again thank you all very much, Gentlemen and fine Lady you are the best.

Somehow I do not see you complaining too much about it.  Lots of whining, yes, but not complaining.  Maybe it is not so bad after all, heh?

I am curently in this stage of my marriage:

However, this is a bit closer to me about to tell my wife I bought another scope:

This is immediately after a get a swift kick in the ass after confessing that I wasted another few hundred bucks on optics:

And this does not fit the story line, but is too good not to post:

Well done, my friend!!

Outstanding job of illustrating our plight, I mean our situation.

No, "The Warden" is a rare jewel of a woman and I'm very happy she puts up with my crap.

I can't quit laughing at the the second pic of the kitten.

My Wife is a trooper, the week after we were married i hauled her across country left her by herself and said See ya in a month. 2 West Pac's and the Persian excursion later, we came home to Alabama. I'll give you my best advice for when you screw up, Oh, and you will.  You may not try too, but you will.  This and diamonds works every time!!!

OK - here is my best advise.  1. When she is angry keep your mouth shut sit there like the lion in the corner and listen to what she has to say, then think about it take your time, let things cool off. (it takes 2 to argue)  Note: women tend to speek "FEELINGS" men tend to expect women to speak fact - they dont.  2. When she presents information that there is a problem - men tend by nature to go into "FIX IT MODE" that is often not what they want - they want someone to LISTEN and sympathise with them. It is almost impossible for men not to offer a solution to the problem  to FIX IT, but that is NOT what they want they want you to LISTEN and sympathise.(this still drives me nuts). 3. Guys do well with lists - these things need to be done, women expect that "YOU SHOULD JUST KNOW" sorry, but we are not good at reading minds, we dont pay much attention to what needs to be cleaned until it bothers us, and it will bother her a lot sooner. 4. Small gifts like a candle or a flower or card will go a long way toward showing her you care (kind of like what her buying you a new tactical scope would do for you, yea really that much excitement, strange thing is if you do it too often then it doesn't mean anything  but a little thoughtful surprise can definately earn you brownie points).  5. Women have an entirely different and somewhat unpredictable sex drive especially after they are done having kids and you need to clearly communicate to her that your needs are different and consistently predicatble - good luck with this one just remember deer only go in heat once a year and be thankful.
