Were they shooting .22's?? LOL

I don't mind saying that I loathe BSA. I hate them almost as much as I hate Tasco.

Now for all you SS guys...The Super Sniper excluded from last statement, naturally..

Amanda and Angela Grove

Attached is a picture of the two of us. My dad introduced us to silhouette shooting and last summer Amanda (she's on the left) and I (Angela - I'm on the right) along with Emily Holsopple (she is 11) set three new National Team Records in the Sub-Junior Division. Dad says that, thanks to you guys, he was able to buy two BSA 8-32x scopes. We also placed 2nd and 3rd in the PA Keystone Games in the Women's Division. Our sister, April, (she's 17) won first place. We are only 14 years old, but dad says that thanks to you guys we are closing in on our sister real fast. Thanks a lot.

Grand Prize winners of SWFA's 2003 photo/story contest

The ones that I have personally witnessed puke, were the result of recoil.

If the BSA scope is such a POS, then I have to wonder why SWFA sells them; and why some are back-ordered; and why SWFA or CF has not come to the defense of one of their products???  Inquiring minds want to know.  Cootie.

My experience with BSA is limited to the several I have seen puke or never work out of the box. If your reference is too me, then I stand by my statement. I make no apologies for those statements.

That said...

I don't think SWFA needs to come to the defence of every product they sell. There's obviously a market for low end scopes.

If someone shoots 20-30 rounds a year out of a deer rifle, those people don't want to spend a lot on a scope. Then BSA may be for them.

I, on the other hand, shoot a lot using magnum rifles, and wouldnt bother with a BSA scope. Nor would I ever recommend one. YMMV......

BSA is probably the worst scope currently made.  I would guess that SWFA sells them to have a low cost product offering.  They are probably back ordered because the Chinese outfit making the scopes can't meet their production and delivery dates.  The girls are winning because they are competing against girls.

BSA IS the worst scope made, theres absolutely no doubt about it.i had a BSA contender 6-24x50 that i used for about 4 months on a 270 winchester, and it worked absolutely flawlessy, and was very repeatable, and all of a sudden, the reticel started shaking around in the tube. i now use it as a tool for turn in rings.

I have had two BSA Deerhunters 3X9X40 on two Knught Muzzleloaders (50cal 150 grain pellets load)  for over 5 years.  NEITHER has failed in any way.  Most of most scopes are Leupold or Swarovski's, but I just can't make myself replace these two old beat up BSA's.  Maybe these were made on Wednesdays.  They have served me very well.
