As a 3rd present to myself that my wife doesnt know about (first was 3-12x50 Burris Euro Diamond on clearance, 2nd was the 8x56 binos on clearance) I just won the auction for the Public Defender.  Been looking at one for a while, and the local dealers wouldnt budge on price.  I always try to give them a chance, but they were quite a ways off.

Got a free Bulldog hard sided case and 2 sets of grips, all new as is the pistol.

Merry Christmas to me :)  But honey.....they were on sale....I finally get to say it.  Next, the AK and ammo for the final holiday splurge.  I guess you can also count the bedroom safe as a present and the ammo for the Judge I already bought.....
That thing on the left....my old ride, some days I miss her.

Range update....Finally got a chance to go shoot this.  Was a little concerned because grips are somewhat short, havent put the other grip on yet.

Anyways, recoil much less severe then I thought it would be with Federal 410 handgun 00 buck loads.  Pattern at 15 feet was sweeeettt, not much bigger then a fist.  Penetration was about perfect in my mind for home defense close range work.  Shot into some some pine 4x4 timbers, penetration into them but not through, last round in would be somewhat shallow, but the rest buried pretty good.

Anyways, got it for 440 bucks delivered and it is a fun revolver.
