J-POINT micro reflex sight as CQ backup

Hey is there anyone out there using a J-Point (or the similar Docter or Trijicon model) micro refelx red dot sights (or any other type of "quick target acquisition" close quarters sight) mounted on or next to their traditional scope as a back-up sight for "both eyes open" close range work? I'm trying to figure out if there is an ideal way to co-locate a sight like this in order to maintain a good check weld and make very minimal adjustments to shooting position when switching between the two.(I'd be mounting on an AR)

If so, It'd be great to get some ideas on what kind of mounts, locations, sights, etc. work for you
