Being one of JB's legions of fans, I discovered I can get a fabulous Barsness fix by visiting his website. He has a quarterly letter for Rifle Looneys that he and Eileen produce and, man, does it cover a bit everything. There is a token fee to subscribe, but it results in making you feel like you are a friend and neighbor. Eileen is not only as rabid a hunter as John, but she has produced the best game butchering and cook books I have seen.
I got mine autographed to boot.

Thanks, guys.

The "letter" Terry mentions is what I call an on-line magazine, and Eileen (the editor and other staff writer) calls a newsletter. It's named RIFLE LOONY NEWS, and each issue has product reviews (but no advertising) including  books, DVD's, and any sort of hunting stuff. It also includes a feature article from each of us, a game recipe from Eileen, and a back page article from me. My feature article is on some technical aspect of shooting, usually but not always rifles, and the back page is on hunting. Oh, and there's a short piece on "An Honest Rifle" in every issue. It appears quarterly, and costs a whopping $8 a year.

Yeah it's real world experience.  Sometimes not enough of that makes it's way into forums.
