I recently purchased one of these scopes, and received it yesterday. Has anyone else had any experience with this company or this scope?
The one I bought seems to have been sold at a low price because, I suspect, it is a prototype. The new ones are selling for 450€ (or about $620). I came with sunshade, rings, extra battery. It seems solidly built and I was surprised by the quality of the glass. What may be a concern is that it is made in China, albeit by a respected (apparently) optics company, Yingrui Optics.
I'm looking for feedback. Thanks!

SVT,
Yes, I did, and I wanted to forewarn people, but I forgot. After hitting SEND, I didn't readily see a way to edit the message to include that notice. Another way to do occurred to me but I had to get back to work.
And thanks.

I am not familiar with this particular brand, however, there are many small German companies entering the market trying to capitalize on the German optics aura. Most are importing these optics from Japan and/or China. Some are better than others, depends on who provides the specs. Companies that come to mind doing this are Luger-Optik, and Lisenfeld.

True! In this day, it is primarily just an AURA. Even in the Zeiss line, only some individual lines are made in Germany still. Much of it is made in Japan, and held to high standards by the head office. |

Stephen,
I think what Chris may be getting at is that Zeiss is very much made in Germany. Exception would be the Conquest, which has German/other parts, and assembled here in the U.S. which helps with cost by eliminating some of the steep Customs charges.
Chris, by all means correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, no matter how good the scope looks in the hand, the test is how it handles 200 rounds of recoil. So, I'll get it on a rifle, in the next month or so, and shoot with it. I'll follow-up with a "range report" when I've done so. Untill then...

My hmmmmm meant that your first few posts are all about a brand that you seem to know a lot about and your comments about Zeiss imply that you have some inside industry information.
How much did you pay for this scope?

I am going to have to hold back on answering that until my "range report." Although, that doesn't stop you from googling it.

It looks like a cheap NCstar made in China. $80 tops.

Stephen, You already bought the scope. It's sitting in your hands. Why on earth would you ask for feedback now? If somebody says that its a piece of carp, are you going to ship it back? This is certainly an obscure brand in the U.S. and frankly an odd choice, given that there are lots of good quality, familiar brands that somebody here would recommend. I don't even see a US distributor - buying it and shipping it to the US would have been a bit more involved than calling good old SWFA. So, I have to ask - - - what kind of agenda are you pushing? |

Here...I took the liberty of translating the web page for you on this scope. I see the same scope for sale on E-bay. FYI, a Schmidt & Bender has the word Zielfernrohr on the box as well but, before we jump to buy this one, the word translates to mean "rifle scope". I guess EVERY German scope will have this on it. as well. Here is the translation.....
ORIGINAL HUNTING SCOPE 6-24X50 AOE Tube diameter 25.50mm, filled with nitrogen gas to fog up. With parallax! From 25 yard is 22.86 meters! The lighting: step 0-11 controllable. Optimum viewing distance 76-85 mm. Of course, new with 24 month guarantee. Grab them quickly before it's too late! here from 1 to dierekt BuyNow. Quality, which testifies about! TECHNICAL DATA: Once tested, they will also appreciate the benefits! |

As they say in Germany : Fernostmist
Far East Fog (Jaeger is chinese, but there´s also japanese scopes with german names)
There´s a lot of young (and old) hunters/shooters buying this crap, Ãt´s one thing if the optics is caleidoscopic, what´s worse is that these scopes may be mechanically inferior. It´s annoying when punching paper, but could lead to animals suffering when hunting.

Yeager rifle scopes are entirely made in the Ukraine . They are represented for the sale by the Yukon company which is only a trading comp.. This in competent to other scopes who are of total Chinese design or you have scopes who are made in the far East under license for example some scopes with a German name .
