Happy Earth Day my fellow treehuggers!  Be sure to make good use of it.  I'm gona finish burning that pile of old tractor tires around the farm that I started to clean up last year & never got finished.

Your passionate concern for Our Dear Mother Earth will bring tears to many eyes, Yellowdog. Especially to those standing within about four miles downwind!

I'm going to weave a gillnet out of used six-pack carriers, and pour used motor oil on a duck.
Pretty much the same as last year.
 Traditions die hard.

I always hug them, as I put the scaling tape around the trunk to estimate the total board feet of lumber yield, just before firing up the old  Stihl Farm Boss chainsaw. (Whch, of course, is set up to run on a blend of Ethanol, Biofuel and used bacon grease, in the interest of a greener Planet for everyone to enjoy.)

Sounds GOOD!  Yippee  Don't ya just LUV hoildays?

Guess I could run my saw at 25:1 to celebrate the day.  Smoke would help block out the sun to help fight global warming.

I understand that Al Gore's looking for us.  Needs directions to yellowdog's place.

I'm going to sit back, have a sixer, keep them cool in my styrofoam cooler, toss the plastic packing rings in the pond for the ducks to play with, and watch the yellow glow from Yellowdog's tire fire and see if smoke clouds make any interesting shapes.  Kids really like that.

Well RL, the treehuggers do tell us to be creative - not sure if our efforts are exactly what they had in mind but it's a start.

Just up the road there is a farm with pigs, cows and horses. I am going to purchase 300 lbs of lima beans and feed the animals. Yippee

I'm fairly sure it'll be plenty "windy" once the animals have eaten.

I have an underground shelter, which I'll be using to poison plant and tree roots until the air clears.

I'm driving around a lot in my 4wd gas guzzling pickup.  I'm going to turn my air conditioner down in the house to 65 degrees (sorry northern boys, it's 82 today), and then I'm going to water my yard all night and let the water just run down the street.  When it cools off tonight I'll build a big smokey fire in the outdoor fireplace.

No need to apologise Mike - I'll reciprocate by turning my furnace up to 78 degrees!

Don't forget to double flush.

Well my neighbors had the nerve to place their new housetrailor where I can see it, so since they are polluting my view, I'm going to burn it down. Then I'm going to the range to remove the polluting substances from some old cars by shooting them until they start to burn. Then we will haul them off to be recycled. Wouldn't want to waist all that good steel.

Ok I'm not gonna burn the house trailor.......................................today.

4th of July would be good.  Make sure you load it up first with all your plastic bags, bottles, styrofoam cups, old rubber, asphalt shingles etc.

If you do it right I should be able to see the smoke from up here.
