Dealing with the first Ithaca I've had to clean and the charging handle is giving me a fit. I have schematices and some info stating it just pulls out. There has to be something else to it. Anyone that knows this shotgun, I sure could use some gudiance. Thanks!

Sarge, founf this on WIKI Answers:
How is the Ithaca model XL300 disassembled for bolt removal?
"There is a detent ring over the magazine tube where it enters the receiver that has to be rotated off of the pin it captures. Then you can remove the bolt carrier group block (a small square metal block ) then the bolt carrier group will slide out the end of the reciever (the bolt handle has to be pulled as well, just pull it out) assembly is reverse. "
Maybe yours is just stuck. Have you tried covering it with a cloth and pulling with pliers? |

Thanks guys, I found the same info and I have pulled with pliers with no luck. I wanted to get some input before I got heavy handed. Have either of you had a chance to take one down before?

Finally got it. There is a small push pin in a small hole in the underside of the bolt. A simple push with a jewlers screwdriver and it surrenders without issue. Thanks for you input all the same. I'm glad you guys are there to call on.
