I saw something on the discovery channel about that. They were in Florida and other costal states looking for BIG snakes and they found to many for me to be around. With the rate of growth and population the speculated in 10 to 15 years that most of the united state will have snakes that big. Scary what was scarier is that most of the big snakes were in residential areas and not the swamps or wooded area but under trees near play grounds and schools.

That is just more incentive to have a CCW.  Then we can just shoot those big ol things everytime we see one.

The bottom one is a fake, if the snake got him in its stomach  it look a lot worse than that.

While the anaconda has the larger mass and weight, the reticulated python of Southeast Asia grows to be the longest snake in the world at between 28' and 32' and can definetly make a meal of smaller adults and children...............Saw the same TV special where one sneaked up from behind, killed then swallowed an adult. Probably, that same pic above!

Years ago I had a run in with a really large snake about  8 inches in diameter and at least 15 ft long it swam across the San Marcos river about 40 yards faster than I could run back to the boat 30 ft away to get a shotgun. That was 40 yrs ago - wonder how big he is now?
I hate snakes but they are good for eating unarmed liberals.

Nah, I used to catch water snakes that had just ate a salamander and you could squeeze behind the salamander on the snakes body and pop it right back out its mouth and the salamander would swim off.  It takes days for them to digest something they just ate.  If they caught the snake right after it got done the whole body would be in tact just like that.

Oh, no doubt that there are Monster snakes in the world on a jeepney ride from Subic to Bagio almost 30 years ago, we stopped to let a snake finish crossing the road we were on. His head was in the jungle on the left side and his tail was still on the right. The Jeepney drive said he didn't what to possible break his suspension by running over the thing.  It was bigger than both my legs put together.  But the show you saw I think showed how it could be possible, but no documented cases actually exist at least as well as I remember.

When you think about the size that some snake species can get, and the fact that their jaws dislodge to accomodate swallowing their prey. How can you dismiss the possibility that it can and probably does happen.
