$187 for New Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9x40 (from trusted source, not auction, not available to the public) My question is, is this the best thing going sub $200 or should I be looking at something else.  Haven't really ever researched the lower end of the price range of scopes a whole lot so I figured I'd ask you all...

I've verified it myself and I trust it as much as I trust swfa (actually more so, and that's no knock on SWFA!)  I was just curious if there was anything that even comes close.  If not then I'm going to pull the trigger on three of them.

I don't think you could find a deal better than that.  I think at the $300 going price for them are they very tough to beat, for $200 I would be all over them.

Wow, that's a great price. I just picked one up for my Winchester M70 and it's a great scope.

Well if they are as well made as you guys say they are, I wont need them all will I?  I mean, if they were Sightrons then I know I'd need one scope for every bullet..... (sorry, just had to throw that last line in here what with the climate of this forum lately) Smile

Better jump on it at that price.  I just ordered the same model last night (my first Bushnell) and I paid about $30 more than you are going to.  I'm going to put mine on a 1950's M70 Featherweight in 30-06 that I inherited, replacing the original 1950's vintage Weaver K4 that is on it now.

The Samplelist is offering an Elite 4200 in 3X9X40 for $199.95. Appears the scope was a demo with light ring marks. Sounds like a great deal.
