Guess the topic says it all... is paying that much extra for the built in inclinometer worth it?  Maybe only if you live in mountainous areas?  How critical are the calculations that it provides for accurate shooting?  Cant decide if I wanna pay for it or not...

I bought the Leupold that had all that extra crap in it and ended up hating it.  I would spend more time trying to figure everything out that I would actually ranging stuff.  I bought a Leica with simple point and push the button and that is it and I like it much much better.

Went though the same exact headache with the Leupold rx4. It couldn't range anything over 500 yards without turning everything off, even after doing so it still performed poorly. Returned it and got the Leica cf1200, it's just plain awesome!!

Seems to be a bit of a gimmick to me. Even for bowhunting where the ranges are under 60 yards usually, the angle to the target has to be nearly 45 degrees before the range differential makes much difference. For a rifle and long range shooting where the bullet drop is far less than that of a bow, range estimation is much less critical until you get 300+ yards out. At 300+ you'd have to be VERY high up before the angle differential comes into play.
