So here's the whole story. < name="Originator" ="Microsoft Word 11"> The scope was mounted on a Remington 700 22-250 that I bought awhile ago. I replaced it with a Leupold VXIII 6.5-20 LR model, and it has been sitting around for about 4 months. I took the scope and rings off and shipped them to the guy unassembled to ease mounting the bases and rings. Well, he files a complaint against me for the scope being "significantly other than described" and wins the dispute. He ships the scope back to me, and the rings are mounted on it with the crosshairs crooked. You have to take the eyepiece off in order to slide the rings on, thus leaving the crosshairs exposed. I figure he slipped and poked his finger into them when he was compressing the plunger on the ring opposite the dials. The crosshairs are both still there, just "stretched" out. I assume that if it was somehow damaged in shipping, the crosshair would be disconnected from the scope tube. The only way I can figure they got damaged was by pressure being applied to them by a slipping finger. I have included a link below to my photobucket album that has quite a few pictures of the scope. You will notice that there is a small dent on the bell of the scope. It is purely cosmetic, and in no way interferes with function of the scope.

I would really like to sell it, but I also do need a new scope for a .308 that I have coming at the end of this week. Sample list wouldn't take it on trade when it still had good crosshairs since it would be a hard scope to resell.

Cody your photo bucket post does not work ....I don't think anyone here knows much about the scope from the none response you got from earlier posts, just hate to see you waste you time on this forum. with that particular scope is all. It is a rare breed and it only has a few followers. gun broker would be the best bet but it might be there a long time.

OK thanks. I was really hoping to get a fair value on it before I listed it for sale. I know that it needs repaired, but I don't want to get screwed on it.

Then have it fixed first, not too many will want it in damaged condition, or sell it cheap and move on.

Cody,

You can have the crosshairs replaced for about $60. Take the two screws out just ahead of the threads and slide that section out. I think you can rotate the ring with the power number on it to align the vertical crosshair.  It might be better to sell it without the crosswires giving the buyer his own choice, but I don't know. Unertls have excellent optics and the adjustments are very positive. You can't really knock them out of alignment since they move in the mounts. They aren't waterproof though.

Is your objective lens 1 1/4, 1 1/2 or 2"?
