Hey Folks Smile. Hope everyone's week is off to a good start. Noob question. Sorry Wink
I have a DDV1 with a fixed FSP and RS. Love them. I want to add a SWFA 1x6x24 30mm to it. Can i do this while keeping the irons? (the marine in me wants to keep them:) Would a quick detach make this possible? Would the fsp be in the way at 1x regardless? TIA for your expert opinions!

I may have found the answer online..

"I would recommend a Larue or BOBRO quick detach mount on the scope and a KAC micro rear flip up sight."

Welcome to Optics Talk, Marine. Thank you for your service.

Someone here, another Marine I think, is running a flip up rear sight with the SS, but I don't know which unit he has.
I tried a Yankee Hill flip up and it was a NO GO.

Thanks Cheaptrick!
I've also read a little on the 45 degree offset Irons. Seems it might be the way to go.
And you're welcome. S/F Marines

I have the 1-4 in the American Defense recon, my YHM does not fit under the ocular.

Just FYI.

I had to take a dremel tool to my ARMS flip up rear and cut a notch so that I had room to run a Super Sniper 6x in La Rue mount.
ARMS #40L Stand Alone Low Profile Flip Up Rear Sight ARMS #40L Stand Alone Low Profile Flip Up Rear Sight
Stock # - ARMS40L
  • Low Profile
  • Rear Sight
$114.95
That was the low profile rear flip up too.  the sanding drum for Dremel tools made it a perfect fit - plenty of room to slide a dollar inbetween.

The Troy may mount lower and not need modification. Call SWFA and ask them what fits. The BOBRO mount should work with one of them they will know which ones fit.

I thought it was you who had one that worked, but I couldn't remember the make.
