Last week I was interested in a Zeiss or Leupold and then found this scope with what seems to be,for me, great compromise for short and long distance. What do y'all think?

I'd love to own one, Shot a couple of rounds with a buddies, but I don't want to face the wrath of my wife.  Yes it's an excellent scope!!!

What are you putting this on?  I like IORs 1-8x a bit better but so what... You will be happy with whatever IOR you go with (as long as it fits your intended use that is Wink ).

There were initially some bugs, the scope is now good to go, I hear.

Don;t mount it on a long action or anything with unusual mounting requirements - notice that back piece of tube is very short.

Absolutely fantastic scope for that rifle.  You can't do better for the money.

heavy barrel 308?  If so, it will be a good scope for the gun (don't think of putting it on a sporter-weight gun, which I have seen a few do - then un-do.

it is a good scope.  be advised, IOR's Customer Service is spotty, at best.  SWFA will take good care of you, but if the scope has issues and requires repairs, you might have a new scope in a week, you might get your old scope back in 6 months, both have occurred in probably equal perportions.

At the end of the day, it is a good scope and a great value for the money.

I love the IOR line. They are fantastic scopes for the money. Great glass, and the MP-8 reticle is my favorite of them all.

current availability on the ffp 3x18 is limited but the sfp is around.  ior has quality control problems at the main plant, the local distributor does a good job in trying to correct it--but.

Man I dont know if I was that close to the price of a Nightforce 3-15x50  30mm tube scope I  think I would pay the difference.  I really like the look of the IOR and their glass is awesome but I'm turnded off by the customer service reputation. I do think the MP8 is the best reticle and I have come really close to owning one more than once.

I was shooting my 260 Rem with an IOR 2.5x10 yesterday.

The glass, reticle, and adjustments are better than Leupold.

The price and weight are good.
