That's my big dilemma - have to choose between IOR 6-24x50 MP-8 XTREME-X1 and Zeiss Victory Diavari 6-24x56 T* /not FL, discontinued model/, reticle 43 illum. The keyword in this choice for me is 'reliability' in terms of tracking/repeatability and durability, but I'll appreciate any opinion concerning image clarity and twilight performance, as well. I know they both are great pieces of glass, but knowing that Victory Diavari is not tactical riflescope in true sense of the word, I wonder if it is as durable as IOR is.

The IOR cannot compare to the Diavari in clarity and low light capability.  The IOR MAY be a little tougher, but I'm not stating that as a fact... I've seen a few IOR's fail.  I DO really like the MP8 reticle, though.  Zeiss is as "repeatable " as any, the IOR is a true tactical scope.  You didn't say what your shooting requirements are, but if truly tactical, I'd probably go with the IOR... but don't think you would be unhappy with the Diavarl.

Thank you for your opinion, Kickboxer. Concerning shooting requirements - the scope will be used mostly for long range varminting and benchrest target shooting, mainly in .308W. In this connection I wonder if the IOR with his tougher internal mechanics /in case it really is tougher/ could be capable to keep the reticle in the same place from shot to shot and after every adjustment in higher degree. I know that my doubts could seem a bit paranoid, but I really want to eliminate the riflescope as a source of possible inconsistency. This is the reason I'm trying to find the scope having an edge in terms of reliable and repeatable mechanics.
