Recently bought an IOR 2x12 illuminated scope.  Took it to the range this weekend to try it out on my AR.  Got the  scope mounted up and was able to get it almost perfectly zeroed with about 5 shots.  The optics on this scope are outstanding, windage and elevation adjustments very positive with nice distinctive clicks.  The 2-12 zoom range is awesome and makes this scope extremely versatile.  I also really like the new MP reticle, which makes precision shooting easy and has all the info for ranging, holdovers, etc. I could want without making the scope cluttered.

Unfortunately, I ran into problems when the sun started to set, and I decided to put my new illuminated reticle to the test.  Reticle worked great for about 10 shots, then the illumination disappeared.  By playing with the settings switch I was able to get it to come on briefly, but it wouldn't stay on.  Seemed most likely to come on when I was between settings.

Wondering if others have experienced similar problems.  Also, if there is a quick fix.  I'd really prefer not to send this scope back, particularly since I don't see myself using the illuminated reticle all that much.  On the other hand, this was an expensive scope and I should get all the features I paid for.

Call SWFA and talk to Chris about this.  My guess is that it will have to go back in. Anyway congratulations on a great scope I'm sure that things will get worked out. (you might try a different battery and look at the contacts that touch the battery to see if they look like they are right.)

I've got the same scope, but have not had any problems like you describe.  Sound like something that needs to be fixed by the manufacturer.

If the battery is loose in the compartment, there may be a fix, but I can't diagnose it without looking at it.  Either way, considering how expensive the scope is, IOR better fix it.

I have dealt with IOR recently on a warranty issue.  They will take good care of you.  I feel that Scott and Val treated me in a fair & professional manner.  Just communicate with them your problem & they'll advise you how to proceed.

Best of luck to you.
