I'm seriously considering getting the IOR 6x42. I do have a few questions some of the optics guru's can hopefully answer.

Here are 3 different pics of this scope:

From IOR's US site (Val?):

From IOR's main site in Romania:

From SWFA's site:

As you can see, they're all different. SWFA's being the most different.  I know IOR updates and changes their scopes, as I used to have a 4x42 M2 that began at 200m on the BDC cam, while my newer one begins at 100m....

Anyway, I've read that since IOR has shakey customer support at times, if I buy this 6x42 from SWFA they'll take care of me. This is a huge factor for me. However, the scope in SWFA's picture appears to not have numbered turrets? Is this true, or is it just the picture not showing the dials well? I was really hoping the turrets would be like the (older?) IOR scopes in the other pictures where the dials are clearly numbered....

Can anyone shed light on this? I'm extremely impressed by IOR's glass on the 4x, and have seen a 10x in person and it was even better. A fixed 6x, with the brightness, clarity and reticle of this IOR is just the ticket for what I need.

the scope comes with threaded caps to protect the turrets, SWFA shows the pic with the caps on and the IOR site shows the scope without the caps.

Anthony has it right.  Val's picture and SWFA's picture are the same scope, except in SWFA's picture the turret caps or on.

Also, the picture you got from IOR's European site is that of an older 1" (or 26mm, I do not recall exactly now) 6x42 scope, that used to be available as a part of IOR's hunting line.

The current 30mm scope is appreciably better.

what are you putting it on?

Right you are the SWFA photo and the top photo are the same scope. The one in the middle is not it.

This is an awesome scope I had one next to my Leu Mk4 10x M3 and was very impressed.

Yeah, I've got one of these, but with regular turrets and #4 reticle.  It is awesome in bad light.  Absolutely, no need for illumination.  The reticle is thick enough to use for as long as I can see the target.

Does anyone know what the parallax setting of the IOR 6x42 is?

100, 150, 200?
