Does anyone have any experience with this scope?  I have a S.A. Socom II with an extended rail (rail over reciever tying into the stripper clip guide).   I wanted to know if this scope setup would work with this rifle.  I am not sure what height of rings would be the best.  I am just asking around for some first hand experience and opinions.  I am not looking to shoot out past 500 yards , this is more of a CQB/midrange rifle for me.  Also what Quick Detach mount would work best with this combination of optic and  rifle.  Thank you.

Look at the A.R.M.S. mounts. My inclination is an EOTech but any of several low power variable tactical scopes would be appropriate, my favorite being the Leupold but IOR does make some good products and if you bought the rifle with the extended rail you must have been thinking low power variable.

Urimagingaryfrnd, Yes I am  wanting  a low variable power scope for my SOCOM II.  I was also thinking  of the IOR 1.5-8x26.  I heard alot of good things about it but have never laid hands on one.  Not being able to inspect or look through a  scope makes me leary of buying one.  What model of a Leupold would you suggest?  I already have an EOTECH on my Rock River Arms AR-15, so I am wanting to try something new.

New! Special Purpose Reticle (SPR)
With the Special Purpose Reticle, you can engage targets with greater precision at longer ranges than generally possible with other reticle styles, yet also use it for instinctive, close-range/low magnification engagements. It also features several methods of accurate range estimation, using the height or width of the target as a guide. To use the system, simply determine the range to the target using the mil system, then, use the corresponding aiming point that is matched to your cartridge to engage the target. For targets that are inside 300 yards, simply use the center aiming dot to engage.

I've played with the IOR you are talking about.  I think it is a better scope than the Leupold Mark 4.

Leupold is good...but IOR is better (better reticle, better glass, a little more rugged ), but remember that IN YOUR COUNTRY leupold aftermarket service is better than IOR (or another scope made outside USA...), anyway I live outside USA so for me..european scopes wins hands down !!
