I know   the 10 x42  has a  side focus  and the 10 x56  has illumination,  but  qualtiy wise is their  a big difference in these  scopes? are they the  same   lense coating?

Ive seen  several inferences on snipershide of the 10 x 56  being junk and the 10 x42 being  better, but you never know who's drinking what  koolaid  when it comes to stuff like this.

Im going to  be  using   it  at  dusk  with whatever  I get so   the  extra  objective  would be welcome.

edit:   I have  seen inferences on snipers  paradise  not  snipershide sorry.

Both scopes have the same technology, i.e. glass quality.

10x42 is trendier, 10x56 is bigger and heavier, but better in low light due to a larger exit pupil.

Personally, I'd go with a 10x56.

Scott from Liberty Optics is a quality guy and knows what he is talking about.  I did not know about the tube differences, but the glass quality is the same.  I would still go with a 10x56.
