Dowby77 I bought a 3.8-12  around the first of the year for a 223 that is only used out to 200yards. The glass is clear and so far it has held up, never did a box test but while making initail settings it tracked well.
They are made by ATK (simmons-weaver) and since I bought mine I haven.t seen many adds for them(whats that tell you). When I bought it I also got a pair of electronic ear muffs for the cost of shipping($4.00) and a week later I received a lens pen. I only paid $90 for the scope so with the free stuff when it breaks I will only be out about $20. I can live with that.I've had alot more expensive scopes go bad.
Now with all that being said I've since found this site and SWFA in general and think my shopping around for scopes has ended and when I need to know something I have this forum to ask.Smile

ATK had Weaver and Simmons years ago and once they learned the ropes they sold both companies and started Intensity optics which were sourced from the same factories that they learned about when they had Weaver and Simmons.  Intensity scopes were the old Simmons 44-Mag and Aetec scopes and they did not sell very good for ATK, so they bought the Weaver name back, dropped the Intensity name and moved the scopes to the Weaver 40/44 line.
