Hello Folks, I recently bought an old Wollensak scope for my 52 Winchester pre-a. The lens'are fairly clear for its age and the crosshairs intact. It has screw off "caps" at each end. The eyeball end has glass in it. The objective end does not. It seems to me these are dust covers of a sort. The fellow I bought it from assures me this is how they were made, but I'm not sure I believe him. Bought it off Gunbroker. Does anyone know for sure if the objective end had glass or not? The first lens (from objective) is about 3" down the tube. It doesn't make sense to me that there wouldn't be glass at the end. Thanks for any info, Squirrel

I am not familiar with this exact brand. Some of the old scopes had the Lens set back, This protected the lens from direct contact and offered an effect of a lens shade.

Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore.
Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow Now the rules have changed again. |
