Anyone have any reloading experience using the relatively new IMR 4007 SSC in your 300 WSM? The burn rate falls in between IMR 4064 and 4350. Read on another site where a 300 WSM owner is getting better results with 4007 when compared to IMR 4350 and 4831 (his 1" to 1 1/4" groups were not quite good enough)........ According to his post, all his loads, starting at 55 gr. working up to 60 gr. w/ 180 gr. bullets, were all less than 1" groupings (all holes touching each other in each group)!!!.......Hodgdon, on their site shows data for IMR 4007, with velocities rivaling and similiar to RL 19. However, IMR 4007 uses about 10 gr. less. Max. load on the Hodgdon site shows 59.5 grs. or so with the 180gr. bullet. With his rifle he showed no pressure signs at 60 gr..................While I have already received excellent velocity and accuracy results with RL19 (1.250" & less), I may give the 4007 a try!... Though I do hope to read some results from someone else first.....

It looks as though that I will be the guinea pig here and try the 4007!........Being a faster burner than RL19, it may burn more efficiently with my shorter barrel, giving some tighter groups, while using about 10 grains less per round at the same time..........May lose just a little in velocity, but that`s ok. My chrono will tell me that. It`s always good to keep an open mind. You never know, one may find a combo that`s even better than the last!.......
