Looking for a scope to use shooting steel/targets from 500-1k with occasional use beyond 1k.  Most shooting will be done from prone/improvised rests in field type situations.  Will also hunt with this scope, mostly medium game, coyotes/varmints from time to time.

Looking primarily at the PST 6-24

I looked through one at the range yesterday and liked the glass and the reticle.  I've also looked through a couple NFs, a Swaro, a Zeiss and a Sightron.

I like the mil/mil reticle/turrets and the zero stop.  The NXS ha similar features and obviously the NF reputation.  I also like the reviews and the reticle of the SWFA SS but wish it had a zero stop.  I don't really like any on Sightrons reticles.

I know this stuff has been covered in various reviews and posts, just wanted to toss out whatI was looking for specifically and get some feedback.  Thanks, Matt.

I have the 4-16x50 ffP version mounted on a heavy barreled 22-250 that I use mainly for target shooting and some long range varmint hunting. I really like the scope and for the money think that it is hard to beat. I do think the glass could be better and the field of view seems a little narrow but it tracks like a dream and I love the reticle and the matching turrets.

The SWFA SS's don't have a zero stop at the moment but the turns are marked with numbers/graduations so it hard to get "lost" in the dial.

You'll get more scope for your money with the SS than you will any other you mentioned.

If u get the ss 5-20x it has 10 mils per turn knob. It will likely based of what u said be used past one turn very seldom. So a zero stop becomes pretty unimportant.
